Overseas brands often believe they are ready for Xiaohongshu because they already have company registration, trademark files and product pages. In practice, approval depends on whether those documents match the exact platform category, target region and product claims.

Check the target region first

Before listing materials, decide whether the brand targets only non-mainland regions or both mainland and non-mainland regions. Mainland-related targeting usually creates stricter requirements around customs, inspection, labeling and product compliance.

Beauty and personal care

Beauty categories often need a clean authorization chain plus documents that support production, import or sales legitimacy. If the brand uses strong efficacy claims, the review becomes stricter. Product positioning and claim wording should be checked before submission.

3C and appliances
